under_attack_please_stand_by“***BZZZZZZZ***!!!CRAAAAKLE***!!!CRRRIITZZ!!!!***… as we enter the third week since the pandemic began, initial Quarantine Zones have been consolidated by order of the currently acting Governor to better facilitate Military interdiction. Reports indicate that the New Haven Safe Zone perimeter, under heavy assault by waves of the Resurrected Dead since Sunday, has been compromised and emergency evacuation of remaining refugees suspended over concerns that spread of the contagion cannot be guaranteed with certainty. Entrance to all remaining Sanctuary Zones is now prohibited until further notice and Civil Defense Authorities have announced that as all Metro sectors of the Tri-State region are under Martial Law, anyone attempting to violate the order will be summarily shot by Military troops as an unavoidable necessity…. No F**king way… ***BZZZZZZZ***!!!CRAAAAKLE***!!!CRRRIITZZ!!!!*** … they sh**ting us? They’re really killing uninfected civilians now? My dear God… it’s freaking over… It’s really freaking over… ***BZZZZZZZ***!!!CRAAAAKLE***!!!CRRRIITZZ!!!!***<<TRANSMISSION LOST>>”

Yep… the Zombie Apocalypse is still shambling along here at the Litterbox, although yours truly has had her own bout with a nasty viral pandemic that sidelined me for the last couple weeks. Sorry ’bout that. I’m all better now and so it’s time to get back to things once more. No “ifs, ands. or buts”🙂

Wanna know what’s coming up? Then by all means, just crawl under that barbed wire, stand really still while we check you for bite marks, and then welcome to our cozy lil’ haven amid the chaos…

Whew. Yep. It’s kinda funny, but right after I got our Festival underway this month, wouldn’t you know it… I contracted the most amazingly nasty stomach flu and became one incredibly sick lil’ kitten. Lots of puking…. lots of aches and pains… a trip to the doctor. You all know the drill. Who knows where the heck it came from… and it pretty much did “zombify” me for a few days. Never a barrel of laughs….

I thought I was all better after a couple of days of the worst of it, and managed to get my collaborative review with Stephen done, only to get hit with a second round of the fun… and this time Carolyn joined me for a little shared misery. My fault really… I’d let her play “nurse” for me while I was at my worst the first time out even though I should have known she’d catch it too. It’s just that it’s so darn sweet when her protective instincts kick in…. Once we finally banished our plague I was back to work again, and super busy catching up on all my responsibilities I’d had to let slide. But… you can’t keep a good Apocalypse down, so once again I’m chipper and eager to get back to the fun. (Fingers crossed….).

Hopefully that means I’ll be able to finish my next Review soon, for the South Korean blockbuster zombie thriller, “Train To Busan”. With luck I’m hoping to get it up over the Weekend, and then we’ll be seeing one for its animated prequel “Seoul Station”. After that, it’s off to Denmark for the Zombie suspense film “What We Become” and then HK for the low-budget wonder “SARS Zombies”.

Not too darn many days left this month, though… Naturally, that means I won’t have enough time to cram all these into February, so the good news for my Gentle Visitors is that I’ve decided to extend our festival right into March. Yay! Go Zombies! 😉

So until then… how about we end with a peek at the Zombie Apocalypse – Kitty Style? 😉 Watch out for those nasty viruses and “Meow, meow for now!”
